She has worn multiple hats of Writer, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Editor for her films Village Rockstars and Bulbul Can Sing.
Rima Das joins the Academy Awards as a member in 2024. She is one of the Brand Ambassadors of Toronto International Film Festivals 'Share Her Journey' campaign that champions the cause of gender equality in cinema. She has been on the jury of Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Berlin International Film Festival Generation 14plus, Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, Mumbai International Film Festival and Zlin Film Festival for Children & Youth. GQ India named Rima Das as one of the Most Influential Young Indians of 2018.

VILLAGE ROCKSTARS 2017 premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and was screened at over 80 prestigious film festivals around the world. It bagged over 50 Awards including the National Film Awards 2018 for the Best Feature Film and was India's Official Entry to the Academy Awards 'Oscars' 2019.
BULBUL CAN SING 2018 premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and was screened at Berlin, Busan and Mumbai International Film Festivals, among 40 prestigious film festivals across the world and won 14 awards, including the National Film Award for the Best Assamese Film and the Special Mention - Generation 14plus at Berlinale. Both the films are streaming on platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime.
FOR EACH OTHER 2019, part of the BRICS anthology 'Neighbors' Produced by Jia Zhang-ke premiered at Pingyao International Film Festival and was screened at Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.
SUNSHINE DREAMERS 2019 documentary film about the spirit of under 14 children pursuing cricket in India which was part of the BRICS anthology 'Kids & Glory'.
TORA'S HUSBAND, 2022, also premiered at Toronto International Film Festival, followed by the Asian Premiere at Busan International Film Festival.
